As an independent consultant, I help companies and startups build strategy at the intersection of AI, technology, product, and business. I lead enterprise product and technology at Data Souls/ODS.ai — the CIS region's largest independent data science community (100K+ members, partners include McKinsey, Intel, Huawei). Before that, one of four people who built Mirror AI from zero to Y Combinator (W17, investors include Peter Thiel, Peter Diamandis, SoftBank, and others) — led R&D, dataset architecture, managed a 30+ remote team. Every step went deeper — from interfaces to products, from products to AI and technology, from technology to fundamental research.
Hi, I'm Konstantin — an AI & technology strategy advisor turning technology into real business outcomes.
Data Souls (ods.ai) is the platform behind the CIS region's largest independent data science community, with over 100,000 members. Bootstrapped — business clients pay for access to community expertise and participation in activities, while the community gets free access to courses, events, and tools.

I own the corporate business line and product-technical side of the platform. The CEO sets the global vision and community development strategy; I work on the business side — ensuring the platform delivers the functionality that solves corporate partners' challenges and that they get real value from engaging with the community. Platform partners have included McKinsey, Intel, Huawei, Sberbank, VTB, Alfa Bank, MTS, MegaFon, and X5 Retail Group. Together with the team, we run some of the largest AI events and competitions in the CIS region.

Datafounders was an initiative to help data science professionals launch startups. It grew out of a track at the Data Fest conference (ODS.ai community) and expanded after launch. Too much advice in the industry comes from people who are either not qualified or speaking from a reality that no longer exists. We wanted to collect current, practical knowledge from people who are doing it right now — active founders, current investors, teams that just closed a round or are actively deploying capital.

Together with my co-founder, we produced interviews with AI startup founders and investors, and organized 1:1 mentoring sessions with startups. Speakers included Phil Libin, Chattermill, PolyAI, Neurolabs, QuestDB, Datasaur, Episode 1 Ventures, Angular Ventures, and others. Our contribution to the ecosystem: delivering actionable, up-to-date knowledge from proven players to emerging AI startups.

I help companies and startups build strategy at the intersection of technology, product, and business objectives, with a focus on speed and measurable outcomes. I don't implement technology for technology's sake — I identify where AI, robotics, or new tools generate real ROI, and where they only burn budget. Working across FMCG, agriculture, health-tech, and other verticals.

I develop comprehensive transformation strategies for large holding companies, working directly with owners. I run technology scouting at scale — startups, university labs, venture studios — assessing technical maturity and deployment readiness. I design pilot programs, and when speed matters, I build working demos myself.

One of four original team members who built Mirror AI from zero to Y Combinator (W17 batch). AI-powered personalized avatars and stickers from selfies. Investors include Peter Thiel, Peter Diamandis, SoftBank, and others. From day one, I did whatever it took to ship: from sourcing artists and preparing pitch materials to designing dataset architecture and annotation pipelines. I initiated and led research tracks in face recognition and emotion detection, bringing in unconventional domain experts — anthropologists, plastic surgeons, artists, and forensic specialists — to improve model accuracy. Managed a 30+ person remote team (research, art, data labeling). Designed internal infrastructure for data annotation and quality evaluation. Prepared materials for investor meetings and M&A discussions.

Went through the full arc — from building early pitch decks and assembling the product piece by piece to shifting my focus toward the technology, research, and R&D infrastructure side. This is what defined my trajectory going forward.

Helped startups across 10+ countries launch first product versions. Worked directly with CEOs — typically on investor pitch decks, rapid MVP development, or rebooting stalled ventures. Often served as the sole product and design function on the team.

I thrive in small teams with a founder, moving fast toward a clear milestone — first launch, working prototype, closing a round. Always outcome-driven: not pixel-perfect polish, but a functioning product that proves technology value and moves the company forward.
